This extensive house renovation and expansion project designed by LDa Architects includes the restoration of an original historic house with a contemporary expansion. SiteCreative followed suit with this design approach with a landscape design that transitions from traditional to contemporary. The clean lines of staggered stone walls at the street frontage provide a subtle transition from public to private space. The main bluestone walkway on axis to front entrance erodes into adjoining spaces that are more casual. A copper plinth that contains a grove of small flowering trees is located adjacent to the new living room space, echoing the copper veneer of the contemporary addition into the landscape. This project is anticipated to be a LEED certified.
